Crossroads Festival Commerical on YouTube
The 2007 Crossroads Film Festival is over, and a great time was had by all. Here for the sake of posterity is the Crossroads Film Festival TV commercial for this year:
Radio JFP Podcast: 4.6.07
I’m actually just testing podcasting from within WordPress as I’m writing the chapter for HTDE Web 2.0 Blog, but, for kicks and grins, if you happen to want to listen to me, Donna Ladd and Brian Johnson talk about local Jackson and Mississippi issues (plus, we play songs for local artists and talk about events happening each week) then you can access the file below or subscribe to the iTodd Central feed in a podcatcher.
Here’s the JFP on WLEZ podcast link.
What I’m testing, incidentally, is WordPress’ ability to automatically take a link to an MP3 file and turn it into an RSS 2.0 enclosure, which is what makes podcast feeds possible.
Onion Reveals New Apple Product
This is cute, even if I am one of the believers being made fun of, here:
“In 1984, Apple introduced the Mac,” Jobs said to an overflowing crowd as an image of the first Macintosh computer was displayed on a giant screen behind him. “We changed the face of the music industry with the first iPod in 2001. And in January, we showed off the revolutionary new iPhone. Today, Apple is releasing a piece of innovative new technology that will forever change the way innovative new technology is released.”
Cool Little Mac App Company
When was the last time someone wrote desktop publishing software for the Mac? The company is BeLight and it looks like they’re working on some low-cost image editing and desktop publishing options. The company is four years old and based out of the Ukraine. SwiftPublisher looks like a cute little app — I haven’t even downloaded it yet, but I wanted to drop it in here to remember for later. (Why bookmark when you can blog?)
